Posted on: June 10,2026Megan Slaton
USMC Spouse of 9 Years
Camp Pendleton, CA
Meet Megan Slaton, the heart and hands behind Sugar, Spice, and All Things Iced, a home bakery rooted in faith, family, and patriotism. A military spouse currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, Megan has built more than a business. She has created a ministry through baking, using her gifts to serve others and reflect hope and joy in both big and small ways. Guided by her faith and inspired by the Proverbs 31 woman, Megan approaches her work with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to loving others well. She believes every cake tells a story, and she works to make each creation not only beautiful, but meaningful, bringing families together to celebrate life’s most important moments. Megan is known throughout her community not just for her artistic talent, but for her generous spirit. She gives back regularly by donating custom cakes through organizations like Icing Smiles for children facing critical illnesses, and she also provides birthday cakes for foster children so they feel seen, valued, and celebrated. She supports military families and those who serve alongside them by contributing baked goods to base organizations and community teams, including the Fisher House, PMO, fire stations, and gate guards. Her compassion extends beyond her baking. Megan is an encouraging presence in the military spouse community, offering support, advice, and kindness to those navigating the realities of military life. She also leads her business with both excellence and empathy, often working with different budgets to help ensure meaningful celebrations remain accessible. In addition to her work as a baker, Megan is a published author who shares stories of faith, resilience, military life, and entrepreneurship. At the foundation of everything she does is an unwavering trust in God, which she credits as the source of her strength, creativity, and calling. Through every cake, every act of service, and every interaction, Megan is building a legacy for her family and making a lasting impact in her community. “I built this business on Proverbs 3:5–6 and choosing to trust God with every unknown. What started as a small step of faith has become a testimony of His faithfulness in ways I never could have imagined.” – Megan Slaton
