Cornerstone Spouses Workshop Advisory Committee Positions
Serves as the senior volunteer leader for the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop Advisory Committee and acts as the primary liaison between the Marine Corps Association, Marine Corps University, and committee volunteers. Provides overall leadership to support the planning and execution of the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop.
Responsibilities:
‣Lead the Advisory committee and oversee committee activities.
‣Serve as the primary volunteer liaison to the Marine Corps Association and Marine Corps University.
‣Coordinate committee planning efforts and ensure milestones are met.
‣Support implementation of the approved curriculum and attendee experience.
‣Facilitate committee meetings and encourage collaboration among committee members.
‣Participate in workshop execution, After Action Reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
‣Assist in identifying, developing, and mentoring future committee leaders.
‣Support the Commandant’s vision by helping ensure a consistent, professional, and high-quality experience for every Cornerstone participant.
Serves as the senior volunteer representative for officer command team spouses and provides strategic input to the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop Advisory Committee. Ensures the workshop reflects the experiences, challenges, and perspectives of future officer command team spouses while supporting the successful execution of the seminar.
Responsibilities:
‣Represent the officer spouse perspective during program planning and curriculum discussions.
‣Provide recommendations to help ensure the workshop remains relevant, meaningful, and responsive to the needs of future command team spouses.
‣Advise the Committee Lead and Marine Corps Association on participant experience and volunteer matters.
‣Participate in planning meetings, After Action Reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
‣Attend the full Cornerstone Workshop and actively support the learning environment and attendee experience.
‣Engage with participants throughout the workshop to foster connection, encouragement, and discussion.
‣Assist in identifying and mentoring future volunteers from the officer spouse community.
Serves as the senior volunteer representative for the senior enlisted command team spouses and provides strategic input to the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop Advisory Committee. Ensures the workshop reflects the experiences, challenges, and perspectives of future senior enlisted command team spouses while supporting the successful execution of the seminar.
Responsibilities:
‣Represent the senior enlisted spouse perspective during program planning and curriculum discussions.
‣Provide recommendations to help ensure the workshop remains relevant, meaningful, and responsive to the needs of future command team spouses.
‣Advise the Committee Lead and Marine Corps Association on participant experience and volunteer matters.

Serves as the lead volunteer for the Cohort Facilitators. Coordinates facilitator preparation and provides ongoing support to ensure participants receive a consistent, engaging, and meaningful experience throughout the workshop.
Responsibilities:
‣Collaborate with the Committee Lead and Curriculum Evaluation lead to ensure cohort discussions support the workshop’s learning objectives.
‣Serve as the primary point of contact for Cohort Facilitators during the workshop and assist in addressing questions or concerns.
‣Observe cohort dynamics and identify opportunities to enhance the participant experience.
‣Collect feedback from Cohort Facilitators and participants to support continuous program improvement.
‣Participate in planning meetings, After Action Reviews, and volunteer development efforts.
‣Attend the full Cornerstone Workshop and provide leadership to the Cohort facilitators throughout the event.
Serves as the committee lead for evaluating the effectiveness of the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop curriculum and participant learning experience. Assesses workshop content using established evaluation criteria, collects participant feedback, and provides objective recommendations for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
‣Evaluate presentations, workshops, and learning activities using standardized evaluation tools and established assessment criteria.
‣Observe workshop sessions and document objective feedback regarding content, delivery, participant engagement, and achievement of learning objectives.
‣Collect, analyze, and summarize participant feedback to identify strengths, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
‣Prepare recommendations regarding the continuation, modification, or replacement of presenters, topics, learning activities, and participant engagement opportunities.
‣Participate in planning meetings, After Action Reviews, and curriculum evaluation discussions.
‣Attend the full Cornerstone Workshop and actively support participant engagement throughout the event.
Serves as the committee lead for participant engagement and alumni connection. Fosters meaningful relationships before, during, and after the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop in order to strengthen the Cornerstone community and encourage continued collaboration among command team spouses.
Responsibilities:
‣Develop opportunities that encourage participant connection before, during, and after the workshop.
‣Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes meaningful relationships among participants.
‣Maintain an active presence within appropriate spouse social media groups to support community engagement, share program information, and encourage continued connection among Cornerstone alumni.
‣Gather participant feedback related to networking and community-building opportunities.
‣Participate in planning meetings, After Action Reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
‣Attend the full Cornerstone Workshop and actively support participant engagement throughout the event.
Supports the overall participant experience by helping create a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment throughout the Cornerstone Spouses Workshop. Serves as an advocate for the participant experience by identifying opportunities which will enhance the quality and consistency of the workshop.
Responsibilities:
‣Assist with participant welcome activities and help foster a positive first impression.
‣Monitor the participant experience throughout the workshop and identify opportunities for improvement.
‣Gather participant feedback and provide recommendations to enhance future workshops.
‣Support participant resources, information, and other activities that contribute to a high-quality attendee experience.
‣Participate in planning meetings, After Action Reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
‣Attend the full Cornerstone Workshop and actively support participant engagement throughout the event.
