ROTC Staff Rides
Application Instructions
You are applying for a grant from the Pritzker Military Foundation for support of ROTC staff ride programs. A staff ride is defined as a visit to a battlefield or location of significance to American and/or military history for educational purposes . The purpose is to gain understanding and provide feedback of military operations based on events at that site. Please carefully read and answer each question on the application form below. This form will be used to collect general information about your specific ROTC program. Utilizing the Application Guidelines, you will be responsible for all arrangements and selecting student participants.
The maximum amount of funding for this program in the current academic year is $8,000.
The deadline for submission of this form is 30 SEPTEMBER 2025.

Prequalifications:
- Minimum of 2 students per trip/staff ride
- Each student must maintain a 3.3 GPA (B+)
Requirements
A) Before the end of the academic year (NLT 24 April 2026), ROTC Cadre are required to schedule a 30-45 minute virtual after action review (“AAR”) briefing with PMF staff to give an overview of trip(s). This may be done via Zoom or MS Teams – contact Kareema Cruz at [email protected] for scheduling.
B) NLT 4 days in advance of your scheduled AAR briefing, ROTC staff must email ([email protected] and [email protected]) a written summary of lessons learned on the trip(s). One written summary per trip, up to 3 pages maximum, composed by students with ROTC staff oversight/proofreading (pictures are welcome and recommended).
