Admiral Ernest J. King, commander in chief, U. S. Fleet, and chief of Naval operations, in his official report covering combat operation up to March 1, sums up the war situation to date so well that the editors of the GAZETTE herewith reprint his report's conclusion:

WE can look back with satisfaction on the progress of the war to date, and with just pride in the part played therein by the United States.
