Seafood in the Indo-Pacific Area

Volume 27, Issue 3

James C Jenkins

EDITOR'S NOTE: What would you do for food if you were cast away, or your plane forced down, on a remote "desert island" in the Southwest Pacific? The question may have more than academic interest for Marines; hence this article, prepared at the Smithsonian Institution from memoranda submitted by meinhers of its staff. Seafood in the Solomons may not he as palatable as at the Occidental, but it will keep you alive in an emergency.
