WAR books are rapidly becoming a glut on the market. Most of them tell in more or less vivid detail the story of battles and campaigns on land, dog fights and bombing raids in the air, or encounters between ships of war at sea. In short, they fall into the "I was there" category-and not a few of them overemphasize the "I."
