IN the last issue of the GAZETTE we published a double page of pictures of the General officers of the Marine Corps in command of our principal ground forces. It was known at the time that Major General Barrett had already been put in command of a large field unit. Since the announcement of his assignment had not as yet been authorized, his picture did not appear with those of the other General officers.
