The Submarine War*

GERMANY has by this time given up hope of achieving victory. Hitler hopes to drag out the war until we all sicken of the strain and slaughter and then make peace, saving some of his gains, or at least being able to keep the Nazis in control of Germany, and then perhaps fight again some more favorable day.
