Good-By to Squads Right

NOW that the Infantry is throwing off the nineteenth century organizational straight-jacket, it intends to go further. It proposes to free itself from the mental and physical shackles imposed by Frederician parade-ground evolutions. A new drill, now being worked out will greatly simplify the soldier's work in the new regiment. But the new drill will do more than merely simplify the soldier's body movements; it will free his mind for more important things. This resume gives the highlights of the new drill.
