The Seabees

IT'S an old tradition that the Marines are the first to land. But in this war there's another outfit that's never far behind. They're the Seabees-the Navy's Construction Battalions. It's their job to build the advance and mobile bases-the landing strips, the wharves, the housing facilities, the roads, and whatever else may be needed to provide a base from which to spring upon the enemy.
