The College Training Program
ON 1 July, 1943, thousands of college students and boys who had recently graduated from secondary schools boarded trains in countless cities and towns throughout the United States. In their wallets-or possibly clutched in their hands-were official orders from the U. S. Marine Corps instructing them to report for active duty at various colleges scattered from the Pacific to the Atlantic Coast.
