Marine Aviation

IN MY talk to you this afternoon I am going to try and present a picture of Marine Aviation, its mission and how it should function as a part of the Marine Corps. Of course, you have a general idea of aviation and what the term implies when used in connection with either the Army or Navy. However, Marine Corps Aviation is somewhat different, because it has more or less a dual personality. It has to be trained to operate with the Navy, when its primary mission is with the Navy, and also with the Army, when land operations predominate and the Marine Corps is assigned to the Army.
