Use of Chemical Agents in Guerrilla Warfare

On New Year's Day, 1931, the telegraph operator informed the Commanding Officer of the Northern Area of Nicaragua, whose headquarters was at Ocotal, that telegraphic communication to Apali had been severed?. Consequently a patrol of ten men under a sergeant was ordered out with the uninteresting mission of repairing this line.
