TO MEET the desires of the GAZETTE as expressed editorially in the December issue and as a basis of discussion and development of ideas on the subject, the following method of effecting security on the march when operating in dense undergrowth and on narrow, tortuous trails, is submitted for the consideration of the readers of the GAZETTE.
