Speeding It Up

Bud Bowell recrossed his legs, rearranged his anatomy on his perch on the top of the corral fence at the Ouantico stables and lit a cigarette, the while surveying the scene of ordered activity to his front with a practiced eye.

On leave from the Army Horse Show Team, Bud, who appeared in the Army Register as a Captain of Cavalry, was spending a few days with a Marine friend, who was a fellow graduate of the Cavalry School several years back.
