An Additional Plea for a Marine Corps Drill Book

THE article written by Colonel Spicer in the December GAZETTE was of the greatest interest to me as one interested in precise and uniform infantry drill, and instruction on the subject.

The idea brought forward by Colonel Spicer is well worth considering, from the standpoint of uniformity of instruction, and elimination of much confusion on the part of many. I desire to add the following to the plea of Colonel Spicer: that the book suggested contain all the phases of infantry drill and instruction.
