Advanced Base Searchlights1

THERE is no essential difference between a military searchlight and one intended for marine use or in civil pursuits except that the military lamp is usually far more portable. This is true in the smaller type of projectors which has been developed for Advanced Base work but it is not so with the larger types. This is a point where military requirements must give way to mechanical ones and the necessity of a quick and accessible source of supply for replacements must be considered.
