Yausubetsu Maneuver Area: Live Firing on Hokkaido
Approximately 300 artillerymen of 3d Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment returned to Okinawa in October after concluding the second artillery live-fire relocation exercise this year on Hokkaido, Japan.
Although delayed by a typhoon, the challenges of coordinating supply with the Japanese Self Defense Force, and adverse weather conditions throughout the exercise did not prevent leathernecks of 3/12 from 10 days of live-fire training.
