Makua Valley Training Area: 13Th Meu Hits the Beach

One week into its Western Pacific deployment, and just six weeks after being certified special operations capable, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit stormed the beach in Hawaii to conduct four days of sustainment training in September.

The training took more than 1,300 Marines of the 13th MEU to five different sites on the islands of Oahu and Hawaii.
