In Memoriam: Louis J. Sartor

Retired LtCol Louis J. Sartor died in Dunedin, Fla. He was 78. He rose through the enlisted ranks of the Corps and went on to a commission as a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

His combat action earned him the Silver and Bronze Star medals and the Purple Heart.

He became a free-lance writer with several articles published in Leatherneck magazine. The last was a series about World War II titled "Life in a Wartime Squadron" which appeared in 1994-95.
