The Jordanian Desert: Training in a Kingdom of Sand

Marines and sailors of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and soldiers of the Royal Jordanian Army recently completed a monthlong bilateral combined-arms training exercise known as Infinite Moonlight '97.

Infinite Moonlight was intended to provide increased military training opportunities and enhance relationships between U.S. naval amphibious forces and Royal Jordanian Armed Forces. It was the largest Marine Corps exercise in the Middle East.
