The Balkans: 26Th Meu Trains in Albania

Elements of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted 10 days of incremental training in the mountains around Zala-Herr, Albania.

Dubbed Exercise Rescue Eagle II, the goal of the exercise was to conduct small-unit training in infantry tactics. Teamed with Albanian soldiers, the Marines did more than sharpen rudimentary infantry skills. They learned more about the world.
