Aussies Back to Train with Marines
Leathernecks from Company F, 2d Battalion, Third Marine Regiment, Marine Corps Base, Hawaii, trained with soldiers of Co C, 2d Bn, Royal Australian Regiment from Lavarack Barracks, Townsville, North Queensland, Australia, in Exercise Golden Eagle 1995.
The monthlong exercise saw 120 Marines and sailors team with 120 soldiers in the fourth annual exchange between 3d Marines and 2d Bn, RAR.
The Australians' training package included water operations, live-fire training, amphibious raids and military operations in urban terrain training.
