In Memoriam: Robert F. Cohn
Retired First Sergeant Robert Frederick Cohn died in New Bern, N.C.
Enlisting as a Marine in August 1940, he was serving with Co D, 5th Marines, First Marine Brigade in Cuba when it was redesignated as the First Marine Division. First Sergeant Cohn participated in the landing at Guadalcanal, and he also fought during the Cape Gloucester campaign.
He retired in August 1961.
