Assistant Commandant's Senate Testimony

In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee April 5, the Assistant Commandant stressed the need for strong Congressional support.

"We are fully engaged, and our focus is clear," said General Richard D. Hearney. "We cannot and will not 'mortgage the future' of our operational forces in order to disproportionately increase support to our quality-of-life programs.
