Marines and helicopters from Squadron HMM-777 were put to the test during two weeks of training at MCAF Santa Ana.
THE DALLAS Naval Air Station, located between Dallas and Fort Worth, is the home training area for Texas Reservists in Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron-HMM-777.
"Triple 7" was originally formed as HMR-777 in April 1959, at NAS, Dallas. The squadron's strength was 13 officers and 24 enlisted Marines and they trained with the Navy HUP-2 Helicopter.
