LtCol Jim Kuhn, USMC (Ret) lives in State College, Pennsylvania. He spent 23 years in the USMC and retired in 2003 when he was the assistant chief of staff for advertising and marketing at Marine Corps Recruiting Command.

Kuhn attended the 2012 Ground Dinner as a representative of SAIC, a sponsor of the Marine Corps Association & Foundation. He works in SAIC’s Strategic Communications Division for MARSOC’s marketing and advertising.

He said he’s a member of the Marine Corps Association & Foundation to keep current with Corps current events for both his job and as a retiree.

“It’s to stay informed, stay connected and see people you wouldn’t otherwise see,” Kuhn said. “I support the association and the work they do. I think the association works to recognize Marines for what they do and highlight Marines who have exemplified all the ideals, which is pretty rewarding.”
