COLUMBIA, S.C. - Emergent Films at Genesis Studios is producing a full-length documentary entitled Bringing the Fallen Home, a stirring tribute to America’s fallen heroes, their families, and those service members and civilians whose mission it is to honor and support the fallen and their families. The film is being co-produced by award-winning producer Cliff Springs and Les Carroll, a South Carolina National Guard officer who has served in Afghanistan and as public affairs officer at the Air Force Mortuary at Dover AFB, Delaware.

The film is being funded through a nationwide, grass roots fundraising effort on Kickstarter.com.

The producers hope this project doesn’t end with just one film, but becomes a multi-part documentary or TV series. The pitch video, which can be viewed at the Kickstarter link below, features moving interviews with family members of fallen US Marines.

“The pitch video is just a small sampling of the stories we want to tell in much greater detail,” said co-producer Cliff Springs. “Viewers definitely get a feel for how powerful the stories will be as the parents of two young Marines talk about their experiences at Dover and the way the Marine Corps carry team took care of their fallen sons. The sister of a fallen Marine recalls how her brother always had a Marine by his side, from the time he was fatally wounded on the battlefield until he was buried. We believe these stories need to be told to honor our men and women in uniform.”
