Thomas Corzine enlisted in the US Navy in 1993 and graduated from the Broadened Opportunity for Officers Selection and Training (BOOST) program in 1994. He attended University of Missouri-Columbia and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Real Estate in 1998. During this time he transferred services to US Marine Corps and was commissioned a 2ndU upon graduation.
After attending the Marine Officers Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, and Logistics Officers School in Camp Johnson, North Carolina, he was transferred to Camp Pendleton, California. Assignments at Camp Pendleton included: Division G-4 Staff, 1st Recon Battalion Logistics Officer and Headquarters Company Commander. As a member of 151 Recon Battalion, he was officer in charge of the battalion's reactivation and worked closely with Headquarters Marine Corps in developing the staffing and budgets for all the units.
Thomas transitioned from USMC in 2002 and was employed by ConAgra foods as a supply chain analyst for grocery foods retail division. His duties included forecasting products, coordinating between sales, marketing and logistics and consulting on the integration of manufacturing facilities nationwide.
In 2003, Thomas joined Audio Visual Innovations, Inc. (AVI), as Director of Federal Sales. AVI is the national leading provider of state-of-the-art audiovisual presentation, video teleconferencing and collaboration technology. In 2008, AVI merged with Signal Perfection Ud. to form AVI-SPL, currently the largest audio visual integrator in the world with revenues over $500M. The companies are privately held by Silver Lake Partners, the largest technology private equity firm in United States with holdings such as NASDAQ, Avaya and most recently Skype, recently acquired by Microsoft. His current position is Vice President of Government Sales, where he oversees a $70M sales channel consisting of all Department of Defense, Federal and State/Local government business. He coordinates all government sales initiatives with executive staff, 35 general managers and 170 sales staff nationwide. Thomas earned his Executive MBA in 2010 from University of Missouri-Kansas City with emphasis in management and entrepreneurship.
Outside of work, Thomas has been active in several associations. As a member of AFCEA he served as Young AFCEAN representative for Camp Pendleton Chapter and was elected Chapter President 2007. During the time serving as Chapter President he launched several new initiatives including scholarship fund raisers, education luncheons and invigorated membership drives which resulted in a Model Chapter of the Year award. Many of these initiatives are still in effect today. As a member of International Communications Industries Association, Thomas contributes content to various industries publications which provide guidance and recognition to government technology sales and strategies.
In his spare time, Thomas is a member of a consultinglinvestor group, G4Force, which focuses its expertise in support of entrepreneurs with have products/solutions for retail sales market. G4Force provides assistance in business strategy, marketing, e-commerce as well as financing for these startup businesses.
