Awards were given to outstanding enlisted, officer, and civilian logisticians of 2015.   General Robert B. Neller, 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps, was the guest speaker at the event sponsored by MCA&F and hosted by LtGen Michael G. Dana, Deputy Commandant for Installations & Logistics. The invocation was by RADM Margaret Kibben, Chief of Chaplains of the United States Navy. Both General Neller and LtGen Dana spoke on the importance of logisticians in supporting Marines throughout the Corps.   The recipients for the 12th Annual MCA&F Ground Logistics Awards Dinner are:   Captain Joseph F. Sgro Jr. is the recipient of the 2015 1stLt Travis Manion Memorial Marine Corps Officer Logistician of the Year Award. Capt Sgro has served in Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Operation MARAKOT, and Operation TOMODACHI since he was commissioned in 2007. He is currently assigned as G-4 Operations & Plans Officer with 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade.   Staff Sergeant Deacon T. Matthews is the recipient of the 2015 Marine Corps Enlisted Logistician of the Year Award. After enlisting in 2006, SSgt Matthews has deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.   Mr. Chad C. Hildebrandt is the recipient of the 2015 Civilian Marine Logistician of the Year Award. He is currently assigned as the Rail Operation Supervisor, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow.   Combat Logistics Regiment 25 is the recipient of the 2015 Marine Corps Logistics Large Unit of the Year Award. Their mission is to conduct general support combat logistics operations for II Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) and other units as directed by providing intermediate level supply, maintenance, and level II health services, support in order to preserve and sustain the ground readiness and combat capability of II MEF forces.   1st Marine Raider Battalion is the recipient of the 2015 Marine Corps Logistics Small Unit of the Year Award. They are organized, trained, and equipped to deploy for worldwide missions as directed by Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC).
