2012 MCA&F Camp Lejeune Dinner
On the road in April, the Marine Corps Association & Foundation hosted the MCA&F Camp Lejeune Dinner at Marston Pavilion on Wednesday, 11 April 2012. Fortuitously timed, the event was held in conjunction with the Marine Corps League’s annual Marine South Expo event and both events drew a sizable crowd of Marines and friends of the Corps.
Before the professional dinner, MCA&F sent a staff contingent to Expo including Marketing Director, Rob Rubrecht, MCA&F Camp Lejeune Area Representative, SgtMaj Adam Terry, USMC (Ret) and Staff Photographer, Ron Lunn. They staffed a booth to perform Association outreach and recruit new members.
The dinner was well attended with over 375 eager guests present for camaraderie, social interaction, a yummy meal and to hear the guest speaker’s formal presentation. The guest of honor was LtGen John M. Paxton, Jr., USMC, Commanding General, II Marine Expeditionary Force, who provided an overview of II MEF operations and challenges during his address.
Increasingly attended to maximum capacity, MCA&F professional dinners are an enjoyable way to stay connected with the issues affecting the Corps and provide a unique opportunity to hear the personal perspectives and insights of top Marine leaders.
A video of LtGen Paxton’s address at the dinner is coming soon.
