Captain Dale H. Webster

Recipient of the 2006 Alfred M. Gray Trophy for Outstanding Communications Leadership

Capt Webster graduated from high school in San Diego, CA in 1995, and from Point Loma Nazarene College in 1999. During 2006, he provided decisive contributions toward three vital missions in support of Multi National Force - West command and control. His leadership, organization, and tactical savvy were instrumental to the effective functioning of the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) Marine Air Command and Control System, throughout Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 05-37. His professional knowledge, sustained performance, and ability to gain the best from his Marines were key to realizing the tremendous C4 commercialization gains at Al Asad Airbase, Iraq. His vision and hustle were central to the successful C4 integration of Marine Aircraft Wing, Regimental Combat Team, and Light Armored Reconnaissance capabilities. This created a lasting commercialized base infrastructure capable of supporting any reinforced battalion with less than a third of the manpower required to provide the same with tactical systems. Capt Webster’s top personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Iraq Campaign Medal.
