Corporal's School

I am glad to see there is a Corporal's School during which I assume the new Corporals are given leadership training while learning to be NCOs in the USMC.

When I served fom 1955 until 1959 on active duty, one day you were a PFC and the next a Corporal (E3) which was an NCO in those days. A new corporal had to learn by observing how the men who had been NCOs longer acted and did things.  When I was promoted to SGT (E4) I received my warrant certificate,  sewed on the 3 stripes and continued my duties with my chest out a little farther. There was also more respect given from my other Marines. I think all new NCOs should be able to attend such a school. Semper Fi

Corporal's School

Anonymous, The Marine Corps has shown its agreement with you by establishing these formal corporal's courses around the Corps. It's all about professional development and it is a giant leap to noncommissioned officer.
