The MCA&F Hosts Social Event for Bravo Company, TBS
On 14 February 2011, The Marine Corps Association & Foundation hosted a social event welcoming The Bravo Company, TBS Lieutenants to Quantico and to the Corps. MCA&F staff members and about 300 Second Lieutenant’s gathered together in O’Bannon Hall for several hours of conviviality and camaraderie.
Prior to the social gathering, in one of TBS classrooms, Marine Corps Gazette Editor, Colonel John Keenan USMC (Ret) briefed the students and staff about MCA&F’s Membership support, Mission, Awards, and Professional Reading Program. After, Lieutenants of Bravo Company recessed to the Green Carpet area next to the “Hawk” for some heavy appetizers and draft beer donated by Gordon Bierch Brewery. MCA&F secured seven new memberships and raffled off several professional reading books during the event.
“Congratulations and a hearty welcome abroad to our new members and to the raffle contest winners.” Winners of the prizes were 2ndLt’s Eric Anderson, Landon Smith and Jeremy Larus.
MCA&F, The Professional Association for ALL Marines established this tradition of hosting social events for each TBS class during their training in 2011 and plans on continuing the custom.
You too can support today’s Marines by joining MCA&F and can stay informed of issues affecting Marines as well as stay connected on unfolding Marine history. Good Afternoon Louise,
The commissioning ceremony was a tremendous success! Thank you very much once again for all your efforts!
Have a wonderful day and God Bless.
Respectfully,
Just a quick note of thanks to Patty Everett. I arrived home from a week vacation to find a package from the Marine Corps Association. I was expecting to find one of the magazines I requested, however, I was pleasantly surprised to discover both magazines were inside. In a time when it seems no one cares about customer satisfaction I am gratified to discover that customer service is not a lost art at the MCA. Once again I thank you for your efforts on my request. It may have been thing but the effort made a huge impression.
I received my blouse last Friday and want to thank you for your efforts
in getting things done. Also, please thank the tailors involved in
making everything right and please give my sincere thanks to those who
made the decision to make the necessary corrections at no charge to me.
That in itself says a lot about your organization. The blouse fits
like a glove and actually looks and feels like new.
Thank you and all the staff who had a hand in correcting a problem and making an old man happy. Semper Fi
Sincerely,
Louise,
I just wanted to say thanks so much for making sure the uniform got back
to me in time for my commissioning class's photo. It fits me well and I am so excited for commissioning which takes
place in 17 hours! Thank you again!
Very Respectfully,
Christina,
Thank you for all your help over the phone today. Planning a Marine Corps Ball is a lot of time, energy and work.

You have been the easiest person I have ever dealt with since I have started MWR out here. You were very quick to respond to my every question and very knowledgeable about your work for an order over a phone that was my greatest experience. If you were in the Marine Corps Skylar I would write you up for a meritorious promotion. I will surely write it in my books to pass the word to the next MWR rep to continue the membership with you guys.

I want to relay my many thanks to everyone at Marine Corps Association and Military Historical Tours for providing me the opportunity to experience such a wonderful trip to Russia. Had I not won this trip through MCA I may have never taken advantage of such fantastic travels. The group, the Russian Tour guide (Oleg Alexandrov) and Charlie Dunn were wonderful companions during the trip. It will be a memory I will cherish all of my remaing days on this earth.
Again, Many thanks and Semper Fidelis!
Ms. Pappas,
Congratulations. You are more responsive and informative than any other website contact I can recall. I appreciate that very much. It’s really nice to have someone like you at the MCA “front door.”
Sincerely, Alfred
Ma’am,
I received the shipment of plaques, books and certificates today for
mail call. It was more exciting to me than candy or magazines! Thank
you very much.
Semper Fi,
Ma’am,
Just wanted to let you know that I got the sword yesterday with time to spare. It showed up unscathed due to the excellent packing job despite the rough postal process. And most importantly it looks great and the Bahraini’s couldn’t be happier! Thanks again for all of your assistance.
