Gyrene Joke

Never Say "I Don't Know"

During a weekly inspection, the Barracks C.O., a full Colonel, during rifle inspection would ask trivia questions such as "Who is the Inspector General or who is the Governor of your State, etc."

He asked one Marine, after he took his M1 rifle, who was the man who invented this rifle?

Not wanting to say "I don't know", the Marine said, "Someone a hell-of-a lot smarter than you and me Sir!"
