2/7 & 3/8 In Afghanistan
10 November 2008

The U.S. Marines and sailors of 2d Battalion 7th Marines (2/7) and 3rd Battalion 8th Marines (3/8) have a ceremonial formation to recognize the Marine Corps' 233rd birthday while on board Camp Barber, Helmand province, Afghanistan. 2/7 is relinquishing command of their area of operations in Afghanistan to 3/8 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
