“Pappy Boyington Field” is a documentary film about the grassroots effort to honor a WWII Hero in the town of his birth.
Veterans and community members battled against bureaucracy for years to add a commemorative name to their local airport in Idaho... and the campaign was not without controversy.
The film showcases many of the local Veterans involved in the campaign, and weaves their personal stories into the campaign.
Personal insights into Pappy Boyington’s life are provided by his son Greg Boyington Jr.; and also by Robert Conrad, the actor who portrayed Pappy in the popular television series “Baa Baa Black Sheep.”
The screening time at the Tower Plaza 10-Plex in Temecula, CA will be announced as the event draws near.
