 LCpl Anthony F. Miranda from Chicago, Ill., was recognized with the "Chesty" Puller Recruit Company Honor Graduate award at the June 7, 2013, Alpha Company graduation for 1st Recruit Training Battalion, MCRD San Diego. He is pictured with his Senior Drill Instructor Sgt Christopher G. Woidt.

The Basic School's Charlie Company received a briefing on June 11, 2013 that introduced them to the Marine Corps Professional Reading Program and the Commandant's Reading List.

 The Marine Corps Association Foundation has partnered with the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation to offer a wide selection of limited edition prints of Col Charles Waterhouse's famous paintings. The prints are available in store and online at The MARINE Shop and all proceeds will benefit both nonprofits to directly impact Marines.

The top graduates from The Basic School's Alpha Company visited the Marine Corps Association & Foundation's office for a celebratory breakfast on the day before the big graduation ceremony. The Company's Commanding Officer said this group of Marines excelled during training and will be "rock stars out in the fleet."
