Default The State of the Corps

The ideas posed by LtCol Lindsey make sense if we are to enter into combat by a coastal location. But will this be the case? I am a firm believer that the Corps must be an amphibious combat unit. That said we need to be able to move quickly, and with firepower to support us. We must be fast, lightweight units able to integrate into the enemy and destroy with supporting ordnance. Conventional warfare as WW-2 will not work as in the past. Gentlemen I may not be close enough to the Corps any more but I love it and would retrain today if I was needed. I last served as a LCpl. with the 11th Marines in a NGF team. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
