The F-35 B is an airplane the Marine Corps needs, but can't afford.

In a recent issue of the Marine Corps Gazette Maj Christopher J. Cannon wrote an article about alternatives to the F-35B.

This notion directly challenges the Commandant of the Marine Corps' statement in December 2010 that “there is not a plan B” to the F–35B program."

Cannon's article has stirred much debate. Weigh in.
