Should illegal immigrants be allowed to join the US military?

If a 19 year old Mexican showed up at a recruiter's office that has been in this country for less than a year....I would say, no.

But what if a illegal who was brought here at a very early age, went to grade school and high school here and now wanted to give back and serve the only country he has known.....I would say, yes.

Any man or women that comes to this country in pursuit of our "American Dream", willing to become a citizen and accepts our values should, without a doubt, be allowed to serve as Americans in the world's finest military force. Additionally, considering only 1% of Americans serve in our military force, their desire to enlist speaks volumes of their willingness to succeed as Americans.

I agree that all those who have become US citizens should be allowed to join the military irrespective of their background, if they are willing.I guess we don't need to treat them as aliens instead accept them as a part of our society if they have no malign intentions against our country.
