January 24, 2013 - 9:00am - January 26, 2013 - 7:00pm
Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, Calif.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is celebrating the Armed Forces this year by having musical representation from many branches of the military. The opening parade, at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, will feature the USMC First Marine Division Band as the executives of NAMM and dignitaries including Governor Mike Huckabee, walk through the halls of the Anaheim Convention Center where 90,000 manufacturers, retailers, musicians and music technicians will find the latest instruments and musical gear over the four day show.

At 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, the US Navy Band Southwest “Destroyers” will perform at the Venue Stage. At 5 p.m., Mobility, the US Air Force Band of the Golden West, performs at the Hilton East stage.

In addition, the Wounded Warriors will be represented 100-fold as guests of the show as well as performers. Michael Broderick will headline the CTS: Freedom Rocks Experience on the main stage on Saturday at 3 p.m.

“Throughout history, there is no better example of music’s power to inspire, encourage and in many cases to heal than in the military” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “We’re honored to welcome members of our armed forces, especially those from the Wounded Warrior community, who come to the show to procure instruments, perform and to share in the musical camaraderie that is only found at the NAMM Show.”
