Thank a Veteran- Trust a Veteran- BUY VETERAN

Being a part of Military Spouse Magazine (www.milspouse.com), I am fortunate to learn about all of the resources that exist for our military community. Did you know over 3 million businesses in America are veteran owned*? So, you can benefit from the Buy Veteran Movement whether you are a veteran who owns a business, a veteran who wants to own a business or a supportive American who wants to support our Nation’s heroes. When polled, 95% of Americans revealed that they felt committed to our veterans and a key way for them to show support is to support their businesses.

The foundation of this campaign is that we know key characteristics exist within our veterans: they are skilled, they are structured, and they are committed to mission success; they carry those traits with them after their active duty status has changed so their businesses are prone to have more efficient products and services. I highly encourage you to visit their site and register your business if you are a veteran, you can receive a free membership to advertise what you do.  Also, you can search their site for veteran owned businesses by you and share the information with your friends.

The website is: www.buyveteran.com & visit their Facebook page www.facebook.com/BuyVeteran

We are one team, if one succeeds we all succeed; support the Buy Veteran Movement today by encouraging Americans to buy from our Nation’s heroes.

For questions on how to start up a veteran owned business using your VA benefits, post here or if you have started your own business share your insight & knowledge here.

Great Site

Definitely an interesting concept..
I'm wondering if they are coming out with a smartphone app? Would be very useful when out and about.

Thanks for the tip-off though!

Great suggestion

The app idea is genius, I am going to forward that to them.

I recently came across an

I recently came across an article about the program that offers paid training for unemployed veterans and our local neighborhood also has the same program that supports such. Even if the veteran is not unemployed, but if he or she would like to upgrade their skills to another, training is also provided. These training schools are run by professional volunteers who impart their own skills to veterans. I recall one heavy equipment operator guy wanted to train veterans to operate certain heavy equipment that does not really require a lot of strength. There was a need for his company to hire people, but they decided that to give back to the community, they provided training to veterans to occupy the latter’s time. It was good initiative that more and more companies and organizations are doing so.
