Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it’s off to DC I go! It is an exciting week for someone honored enough to be the Marine Corps Spouse of the Year. This week, I will be meeting Senators, touring the Capitol, sipping tea with the FLOTUS and oh yeah, sitting down at a luncheon with General Amos.
It has been 6 months since the award nominations for the Military Spouse of the Year first opened, and it will all come to a conclusion Thursday at noon. My nerves are getting to me or maybe the 5 cups of coffee; what does one say to the leader of the greatest fighting force in our Nation. No pressure there! Let’s hope all of those etiquette books I perused as a young enlisted wife will pay off-stay tuned….
