Eid Passport Introduces RAPID-RCx Program For More Secure Military Installation Access

New Program Provides Quick Authentication for Individuals Accessing Military Facilities

Eid Passport, Inc., the leader in secure vendor access management, has developed the RAPID-RCx Program to further increase security at military installations while providing quick entry for individuals who require routine access, including active military personnel, vendors, military dependents, guests and civilian personnel. The first to implement the program is Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif., beginning mid August.

The RAPID-RCx (Remote Credential Checking) Program provides the ability to quickly verify and authenticate numerous populations requesting installation access using one mobile reader at each access control point. The Program enables force protection personnel to scan U.S. and Canadian Driver Licenses (with the exception of Quebec); U.S. Department of Motor Vehicle identification cards; Department of Defense active military and civilian credentials (DoD CAC); Department of Defense military retirees, authorized family members, Medal of Honor recipients, and disabled veterans credentials (Teslin cards); and RAPIDGate Credentials. Credentials are compared against local ?no entry? and debarment lists and other negative databases to determine entry authorization. Credentials are also verified to determine credential authenticity and validity, potentially deterring fraud.

The RAPID-RCx Program is another integral layer of a fully integrated access solution that addresses multiple populations requiring access to military installations and government facilities, said Steve Larson, CEO of Eid Passport. The RAPID-RCx Program creates a streamlined access process that reduces the administrative costs, burden and associated errors of manually verifying an individual?s credential status.

The RAPID-RCx program can utilize the same handheld device, guard station and program infrastructure through the RAPIDGate Program already implemented on dozens of military installations across the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

The RAPID-RCx Program can be purchased from the GSA Schedule for an annual subscription fee.
