MCIA Request for Artifacts/Memorabilia

Wendy Colby, Marine Corps Intelligence Activity (MCAI) is designing exhibits for the new Swain Annex, MCIA, Quantico. Part of the display will include two 5’ by 5’ cases that will house artifacts and memorabilia for MajGen Bruno A. Hochmuth, who was the Commanding General, 3d Marine Division, when he died in a helicopter crash in Vietnam, 14 November 1967, and LCpl James E. Swain, Headquarters Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF), who was killed in action while serving with the MEF in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, on 15 November 2004 during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM

The MCIA is requesting memorabilia including photos, uniform items, or equipment from Marines who served with either of these fallen warriors, particularly LCpl Swain. For more information or to make a contribution, contact Wendy Colby, MCIA, 2033 Barnett Avenue, Quantico, VA 22134; wcolby@mcia.osis.gov; or 703–432–7103.
